By The Way (BTW) is a contemporary downtown bistro offering fresh and flavourful Mediterranean cuisine with an Israeli flair. The menu features a selection of perfectly grilled dishes like chicken and lamb kabobs, as well as an array of bright and colourful salads, and authentic Middle Eastern mezzes.
Located at the corner of Bloor and Brunswick, BTW is proud of its strong connection to the vibrant Annex neighbourhood, where it has been a landmark since 1978.
BTW was one of the first Toronto eateries to offer authentic Middle Eastern street food like falafel, hummus and baba ghanouj. The menu expanded and today BTW is also known for its sizzling Mediterranean-grill entrées, innovative vegetarian and vegan fare, as well as poached-egg dishes and other brunch favourites. The daily specials are inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Great food, a warm ambiance and a large corner patio continue to make BTW one of the most popular restaurants in the Annex and a familiar destination for Torontonians and visitors.
BTW is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and weekend brunch. It's within walking distance of the Bloor / Spadina subway station, Bloor Hot Docs Cinema, the University of Toronto, the Royal Ontario Museum and the Royal Conservatory's Koerner Hall.
